When I co-founded Synergy Networking Group, I had one clear vision: to create a relaxed, welcoming environment where like-minded professionals could connect and exchange high-quality referrals. Now, three years in, I can proudly say that vision has come to life. More than just a place to do business, Synergy has become a space where I’ve built meaningful relationships, and I genuinely look forward to every Thursday morning.

A Business Boost for UES

From a business perspective, the benefits have been immense. One of the most significant outcomes for UES has been securing our primary maintenance contract with Bristol Water, which came through a referral from the incredible team at Community of Purpose – an organisation we’ve supported for many years. That single connection now generates over £300,000 annually.

Other significant opportunities have also emerged through Synergy. For instance, our collaborations with Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation and Boston Tea Party have led to ongoing, repeat work, enabling strong long-term partnerships.

In addition, Rhombus Studio played a vital role in our journey by guiding us through a major rebrand after 35 years. Their expertise helped redefine our identity, positioning us for growth while honouring our legacy – a change that has made waves across the business.

The Power of a Diverse Network

One of the group’s key strengths is its diversity. With members representing a range of industries, we’ve organised them into the following groups: Trades, Services, Creative, Community, and Finance.

The magic of networking isn’t just about referrals; it’s about collaboration. Time and again, we see businesses team up across these sectors to deliver outstanding projects.

For instance, within the Trades group alone, I consistently work with:

Having this dependable “power team” of experts is a game-changer for any business owner. Knowing you can count on reliable professionals across various trades gives you peace of mind and opens doors to endless opportunities.

What Makes Synergy Special

If I had to narrow down my top three favourite aspects of Synergy Networking Group, they would be:

  1. The talented people in the room – We’re surrounded by experts who bring fresh ideas and solutions.
  2. Our fantastic venue – Gloucestershire Cricket Club is a welcoming space that sets the tone for productive meetings and good conversations.
  3. The legendary socials – Our social calendar ensures we build stronger relationships while having plenty of (maybe too much) fun.

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate three years of Synergy, I’m incredibly grateful for its impact on my business and personal growth. It’s not just about the numbers – though those have been impressive – it’s about the relationships we’ve built and the community we’ve created. I can’t wait to see what the next three years will bring.
